Responsibilities

Project Setup & Estimations:

  • Conducted initial project planning, providing accurate estimations for development timelines and resource requirements.
  • Set up the Shopify environment, ensuring seamless integration of designs and features within the platform's ecosystem.

Collaborative Problem-Solving: Partnered with a front-end developer unfamiliar with Shopify. Provided technical mentorship on Shopify-specific features such as:

  • Object-based templating and Liquid syntax.
  • Platform limitations and workarounds.
  • Integration of third-party Shopify apps with custom front-end code.
  • Filtering on collection page logic setup

Developed Key Features from Figma Designs:

Translated pre-existing Figma designs into fully functional Shopify pages, including:

  • Shipping Updates: Built pages to support dynamic updates, ensuring all content could be modified from the Shopify admin panel.
  • Returns & Size Guide: Developed interactive and editable pages to enhance user experience.
  • FAQs, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Cookie Policy: Implemented content-driven pages that comply with platform requirements and support easy updates via the admin dashboard.
  • Authentication Workflow: Developed Sign In, Sign Up, and Forgot Password functionality, ensuring smooth user experiences.
  • Possibility to update customer data in customer page using Customer fields app

Admin Panel Customization: Enhanced Shopify's backend usability by enabling non-technical users to easily update and manage page content without modifying code.

Technical Excellence: Ensured the development adhered to best practices, with an emphasis on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
